Whether you’re new to the game or play on a regular basis, players of all skill levels will be enticed by the superior tennis facilities of Hyatt Regency Scottsdale. Managed by International Tennis USA. (ITUSA), and home court to WTA Pro Meghann Shaughnessy –ranked as high as #11 in the world - guests can enjoy an exceptional resort experience while playing recreational or competitive tennis.
For those looking for casual play, we offer:
- Four courts, lit for night play: $25 per hour
- Ball Machine Rental: $35 per hour (includes court rental fee)
- Racquet Rental: $6 per racquet
- Tennis balls: $5.00 per can
- Arrangements for match play: $10 per match
Tennis racquets and balls are available at the bell stand after Tennis Pavilion hours.
Clinics
Founded by Rafael Font de Mora, a competitor on the men’s pro tour from 1985 to 1988, and a tennis analyst for NBC during the Barcelona Olympics, ITUSA has developed a successfully proven method of teaching tennis to everyone from beginners to professional players. Font de Mora has established tennis facilities and training programs throughout Europe and South America, and is coach to Meghann Shaughnessy, who also serves as the resort’s resident touring Pro.
A unique video training system, developed by Font de Mora, which includes a CD Rom customized to show the player's beginning and ending levels of play, analysis of their strokes, slow motion video, special text and animated graphics is available
An adult “Weekend Warrior” program is also an option for those tennis enthusiasts desiring both tennis instruction and video analysis of their game.
Junior competitive tennis students may join the ITUSA student academy for training while visiting the hotel. This will include daily drills and match play.
- Private Lesson: $85 per hour
- Hit with the pro: $75 per hour
- Drop-in Guest Clinic: $30 per person per hour
